TO:
All persons concerned with design, maintenance and upgrades of fire
safety in Public and Institutional Buildings.
We would like to introduce to you, a now well proven, and widely accepted
development that is providing a very economic solution to meet the design
needs of fire safety engineers.
itl's Smoke Control Curtains, are providing economic and efficient solutions
for the design provisions of fire safety engineer's plans for control
of smoke, and the protection of the exitways, in multi level buildings
with open atrium areas within the designed construction.
This whole system is new in concept, and was designed in New Zealand
by our company, in consultation with appropriate advisers, with fire safety
engineering skills, who understand the economic need for such a device
as a solution to the long standing cost disadvantages of all other existing
alternatives.
The system consists of overlapping fibre glass curtains, contained in
metal cabinets, that are mounted on ceiling or top wall positions as appropriate
to the application. The curtains are all securely machine sewn with heavy
grade fibre glass sewing thread of the very best quality.
The cabinet design allows for versatile mounting options, they can be
simply installed fully exposed, or where architectural considerations
require, they can be installed, totally or partially within the ceiling
cavity and in this way become very unobtrusive -to the point that they
become almost invisible to casual sighting.
itl's Smoke Control Curtains are suitable for applications in all buildings
that are subject to the need for specific provision of fire safety that
invariably entails containment of smoke and the safe guarding of exit
ways from smoke invasion. Some of the applications that immediately come
to mind from the many installations successfully completed are:
University Buildings, Rest Homes, Hospitals, Shopping Malls, Office Buildings,
Factories, Hotels, Car Park Buildings, Restaurants, Warehouses, etc.
